Play Shut the Box on bet365.  Shut the Box is based on the popular pub game. The game is played with ‘the Box’ and two dice. The box has 9 tiles (numbered 1 to 9) along the top. The aim of the game is to 'Shut the box' using the sum of the dice rolls to close the numbered tiles. Throwing two dice each turn the player must either close the tiles that equal the total of the dice roll. Play continues until either the box is closed or no further tiles can be closed.

Prizes are awarded at the end of the game and are depended on the final score. With higher prizes awarded the lower the final score. If a player 'shuts the box', by closing all the tiles, they will win the highest prize. A bonus prize is awarded if the role that shuts the box is a double. All prizes values will increase proportionally to the players' stake value.

First choose your stake using the arrows at the bottom of the board. The payouts depending on stake will be displayed in the lid of the box at the top of the screen. You have to press the 'Confirm' button to confirm your stakes and the game will begin.

Now the game has begun you will be prompted to ‘click to roll the dice’. When the mouse button is clicked the dice will roll. Once the dice have stopped rolling, the instructional text will tell you the total amount of the dice rolled. You then have to mouse-over the tiles at the top of the box and see which tiles are available to be closed. Only playable tile numbers will be able to be clicked. For example if you throw a five and a four, you could close just the tile marked '9', or both the '5' and '4' or '6' and '3' or ‘7’ and ‘2’ or any other combination if still available. Once a valid selection has been made, you will be prompted to roll the dice again and then close the tiles of your choice. After each selection has been made your Tile Total (at the top of the game screen) will adjust according to the total number thrown on the dice. In the above example, if you had rolled a five and a four, your Tile Total would reduce by 9. Each Tile Total is associated with a prize payout. This game play continues until you cannot close a tile or tiles to the value of the dice, then the game is over. You can only close a maximum of 2 tiles per dice roll.
