The World’s Most Expensive Chinese Takeaway

The owner of a Chinese takeaway restaurant in the UK has walked away with a jackpot of well over £114,000 thanks to an 80 pence stake he placed on an online slot at WilliamHill's Online Casino.

Joe Siuchung Yip from Surrey won £114,649 on the exclusive game at Hills after his 80 pence spin got him through to the bonus jackpot round.

“I’m used to giving out fortune cookies to others but hadn’t had much luck myself recently so this is brilliant,” said Yip.

“I’m going to pay off some debts and will probably replace my old car but it hasn’t quite sunk in that I’ll have money left after that.”

Vegas.WilliamHill.com is just one of operator William Hill’s online products offering an extensive range of games including roulette, slots, progressive jackpots and a live casino.

“Eighty pence wouldn’t even get you a bag of prawn crackers but now Joe has got the money for a banquet everyday,” said Jennie Prest, Spokesperson for William Hill.

“That’s the great thing about the progressive jackpots, they grow to life-changing amounts and anyone who plays could potentially win one.”
