Noel wanted to paint the Dream Factory red and asked Adam to bring his dreams to the Pound Table.
Along with his aspirations Adam brought box five to the Pound Table. The self employed painter and decorator showed a photograph of him and his dad sat in his van having a cup of tea. Noel also picked up a picture of Adam’s six month baby girl Eden. Adam admitted he had missed her and also confessed that Eden had changed his life from a boy racer to a settled dad. Adam had brought along his girlfriend Cauri and mum Julie for support.
It was a bold choice to go with Joyce the newbie but it paid off when he saw £100 in her box. It was Tracey who did the damage unveiling £75,000. Box 13 didn’t prove unlucky as it only hid 10p. £750 and £50,000 concluded the round. “My son is here” said Noel “you have good genes but shocking shoes” quipped the Banker. The Banker also compared Adam and Noel to a before and after shot for cosmetic surgery. Cauri who is named after an Australian tree was clutching a bible with a four leafed clover wrapped in Eden’s sick blanket. “Hardcore good luck” remarked Noel. The Banker predicted an easy game; he thought a loving father of a six month baby had too much responsibility to take a risk. The opening offer was just £3,000 – No Deal. Dave kicked off the second round with £1, with £750 and 1p concluded a brilliant all-blue round. The Banker still believed Adam wouldn’t risk big money and after each box opening the influence of Eden would get greater. The Banker wanted Adam to become the first player to leave at the second offer which was £10,000. Adam wasn’t going to get unsettled – No Deal. Mo was picked to start round three but Adam thought his decision was ‘dodgy’ because of Mo’s history with high amounts. Adam didn’t change his mind and Mo revealed £500. £35,000 made the hole bigger and £3,000 completed the round. Adam answered the phone because he wanted to hear the Banker’s voice. The Banker reminded Adam of his misfortune in the past. On Adam’s 18th birthday he received 110 lottery tickets but didn’t even win ten pounds. Adam announced the offer was £15,000, Noel didn’t believe him at first but Adam decided to – No Deal.
Noel declared the fourth round as a ‘no groan zone’ when £1,000 was first out. £20,000 meant the next box had to be blue. Justin flipped open box two to see £100,000. The £250,000 was looking very exposed as the gap widened on the right hand side. Adam didn’t seem too concerned and felt there was sufficient backup. The Banker was certain the offer of £12,500 would stop him. “Are you a gambler?” asked Noel. Adam admitted he likes to take a gamble and was brave enough to continue – No Deal. Noel hoped Adam could become our first male quarter of a millionaire and 50p was the perfect start to round five. £5 continued the perfect round; Noel thought the next box was the biggest of the year. Dawn was asked to open box seven which contained £250. The all-blue round meant there was only one blue left on the board. “That was brave” admitted the Banker who tried to cause Adam problems with an offer of £26,000. As Adam considered the offer, the Banker tried to find out Adam’s target. Adam admitted he was after £31,000, it was a specific amount but Adam insisted that all his debts and plans would cost that amount. The Banker thought his offer was fair, but decided to meet him half way £28,500 – Deal! Once the applause had settled down, Adam confessed “I made the target up” it was just a ploy to get the offer up. With the £250,000 still on the board “will the Banker have the last laugh?” asked Noel. £5,000 and £10 gave Adam one last chance to find the quarter of a million in the final round. Harold brought relief when he revealed £250,000. It was a confirmed Banker spanking, the last offer would have been £12,000. Noel unveiled £15,000 sitting on the Pound Table. Adam was delighted to have the chance to put a deposit down on a house and still have enough to clear all his debt.
